DIY iPod Car mount

Step #4 Finishing up

Ok so the brackets made, the screw is accessible time to finish the job. Did you decide on going high or low? There's two screws in this area (right side of center console) The upper screw is for fitting the high mount onto, and the lower screw is where you can put the lower mount on. Your choice! I chose the higher mount (I don't know why). So just unscrew the one screw, put the baseplate over the screwhole, and rescrew down the screw. Snap the two snaps back into place. It should look like this now.

My baseplate was bent about 2 millimeters off which offers a noticible gab in the casing along the console (compare to both sides) I accept this small problem because I'm not sure if I can bend it that accurately. I really should buy a ruler or something.

Re-screw the 6 screws surrounding the glovebox. Congratulations you have installed a $0.50 cent mount!
